The Open Institute of City University of Macau (OI-CityU) is one of the constituent faculties of the university with the aim of developing open education. OI-CityU offers a variety of short courses, professional certificate courses, overseas study tours and corporate training courses. OI-CityU provides a variety of customised services for students and enterprises to meet the needs of the society for "lifelong continuing education". Our faculty members are diverse experts, practitioners and scholars from a wide variety of nationalities and industries able to impart  theoretical knowledge as well as  honing students’ practical skills needed for today's dynamic business environment.

To date, OI-CityU has established academic partnerships with a number of institutions both in Macau and overseas, including Keiser University, United States; National Ilan University, Taiwan; Eulji University, Korea; Peter F. Drucker Academy, and Macau Institute of Financial Services.  Moreover, OI-CityU has co-organised a series of workshops with Fórum de Macau for participants from the Portuguese-speaking countries. Topics covered include trade in services, financial cooperation, tourism and MICE management, intellectual property protection,  infrastructure construction, commercial law, production capcitiy cooperation, etc.

Our current training courses include Peter F. Drucker Executive Training Programmes, beauty make-up study tour, Certified Financial Consultant (CFC) and other banking and financial management courses and overseas study tours in Hong Kong, Taiwan and the United States. In order to foster continuous learning opportunities  for students in Hong Kong, Macau and Mainland China, OI-CityU has established teaching centres both in Macau and Zhuhai, China.

OI-CityU is devoted to exploring new models for effective and quality teaching and learning, developing new programmes that meet the needs of social development, catering to the needs for open education, and promoting the practice of lifelong education.
