OI-CityU Appointed as the Exclusive Approved Exam Venue Provider for AIA Professional Exams in Macau


On 13th June, Open Institute of CityU (OI-CityU) was appointed as the exclusive approved exam venue provider for Association of International Accountants (AIA) professional exams in Macau in a meeting with representatives from AIA Hong Kong Branch. Professor Shuguang Zhang, Rector of CityU, received the Certificate in recognition of OI-CityU being the AIA Macau Examination Venue Provider from Vice President of AIA Hong Kong Branch, Mr Stephen Chan. The recognition will be beneficial for the local people who wish to become an International Accountant.   

 

Also attending were Secretary-General of the Council of CityU cum Director of OI-CityU, Mr Robert Chan; Executive Associate Dean of OI-CityU, Dr Gavin Chau; Asia Pacific Regional Director of AIA, Mr Josiah Pang; and Senior Member of AIA, Mr Danny Ng.

 

Association of International Accountants (AIA) was founded in the UK in 1928, and recognised by the UK Government as a Recognised Qualifying Body (RQB) for statutory auditors. As one of the highest standards of the accountant qualification examination, the Level 7 Diploma in Professional Accountancy is considered as the same level of Master Degree. The AIA Professional Qualification can be registered in the EU to become legally recognized auditors and accountants. AIA international accounting qualifications are widely recognised in over 30 countries worldwide, and it is currently one of the highest certifications that professional accountants groups can obtain.
