On 20th November 2015, a delegation from CityU, consisting of Mr. Robert Chan, Secretary General of Council of CityU; Dr. Gavin Chau, Executive Associate Dean of Open Institute; Mr. Kingston Wang, Assistant Professor, paid a visit to National Ilan University of Taiwan and signed a memorandum of understanding.

The leadership team of National Ilan University including Professor Wu Poching, Vice President of Academic Affairs; Professor Chu Chen Ming, Dean of the College of Humanities and Management; Dr. Chen Chih Chun, Assistant Dean of the College of Humanities and Management; Professor Wu Chung Chun; Professor Yu Hsin; Professor Lin Feng Jeng; Professor Lai Jun Wei and Dr. Alex Tung, etc. held a meeting with the CityU delegation. Dean Chu introduced the strategic development of the faculties to the delegation.

During the meeting, leaders from both sides exchanged ideas on cooperation in academic related fields of common concern. They also conducted discussions on concrete ways to build closer relationships, promote and develop professional courses and study tours, and facilitate exchange of students and teaching staffs. Dean Chu and Director Chan agreed on plans to jointly launch professional courses and organize study tours in the near future. Dean Chu has great confidence and high expectation on the cooperation with CityU in common and related disciplines.
